The Arc

Today I want to share how a jewellery line inspired by Joan of Arc came to life — after a meeting with a photographer. We were talking about different creative plans and projects when she said she dreamed of shooting a self-portrait as Joan of Arc. We discussed outfits, styling, and of course couldn’t help but reference McQueen and the aesthetics of his Arc collection. And just like that, images of future jewellery took over my mind. (That very photoshoot had never happened, but the other ideas came to life).
Traditional techniques for connecting metal elements and stone settings are often rigid and heavy. Weight, especially for earrings, is absolutely critical. I’m constantly searching for unconventional ways to set stones and join metal elements — and that’s how my Flex concept was born. A personal know-how where elements are connected using the finest steel cable.
For this collection, I wanted to use plates of my favourite brushed silver — they immediately evoke armour. At the same time, I wanted movement, lightness, and a sense of dimension. That’s how these cross-shaped earrings came to life.
In my opinion — incredibly stylish.
(And they’ve already made it into a fashion shoot published in a magazine.) ✨
