ORGANIC
JaneJu — Australian-born boutique, organic and sustainable jewellery brand — was founded in 2012 by Evgeniya Lisichkina, a jewellery designer in Sydney with an international background in fashion and art. Graduated as a designer of shoes and accessories, she obtained a degree in journalism. Having had a successful career in fashion journalism, and being always passionate about design, she decided to create her own brand of jewellery and accessories, whilst developing her skills in silversmithing and precious stone setting at the Gaffa Gallery, Sydney, and honing her designer expertise at the Whitehouse Institute of Design.
Inspired by the Australian wild and luscious nature, and her love for suibokuga (Japanese ink painting), she designs unique organic-style pieces, using non-calibrated gemstones in curious settings.
A number of her works have been featured in fashion magazines like Glamour and Marie Claire as the Editor’s choice, as well as in the book of “Best Russian Artists 2018. Decorative and Applied Arts”.
Evgeniya has also been a Member of the Australian Fashion Council since 2018.
THE BRAND'S CREDO
All pieces are fully handcrafted from Australian silver, using genuine gems and precious stones only. Working with non-calibrated stones, we guarantee the uniqueness of each piece. We use freeform, water-tumbled, hand-carved or hand-cut gemstones from all over the world, but we would especially like to share our passion for Australian sapphires and opals, as well as for Australian-grown pearls with you.
We create sustainable jewellery and therefore only use sustainable packaging – handcrafted in Australia from recyclable black cardboard or reusable tin boxes.
